Competition

Cases concerning anti-competitive practices and merger control are handled by the President of the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection (UOKiK). A decision by the President of UOKiK may be appealed to the Court of Competition and Consumer Protection.

Civil courts resolve disputes concerning claims such as unfair competition and for private enforcement of competition law.

Administrative proceedings before the President of UOKiK are conducted under the Competition and Consumer Protection Act, the evidence rules of the Civil Procedure Code, and the Administrative Procedure Code. Proceedings before civil courts are conducted in accordance with the Civil Procedure Code.
